I put some noodles on my cage, put the seats back in, cleaned it out a little, ordered 5 pt harnesses, and a new retractable CB radio mount.

Gonna wash it tomorrow and if the weather is nice start laying down lines for the chop.

Today I installed a new water pump and did radiator flush. Replace distributor cap and rotor button and also new plugs and wires. The plugs were in bad condition from PO. Also did an oil change with mobile 1 10-40 and purolator oil filter. Running much better than when I got it!

Well I got the new 3.5" drop pitman arm in (didnt help my steering problem) still cant make a sharp right turn. 6* shims on the rear end (helped a little on the accel vibes) still have terrible sound when I let off the gas over 40 mph. Oh well, I was hoping to get the cheap fix for the time being but I guess a SYE is in my future. By the time I get Blue back to the same drivability as I had pre lift I could have bought my XJ again. :-(

Shims and slip yoke don't go well together. I tried it and it would vibrate under any acceleration. SYE is the best way to go. Just finished mine Sunday and couldn't be happier.

Went to pick a part and got a front DS for my SYE to be installed this week, and also got a replacement rear pinion yoke as the current one is damaged...SYE will be here on Wendsday so gives me time to clean 'em up, paint 'em and install new u-joints...

Well I thought I had read it correctly, but maybe not. Those 10mmx40mm bolts are just not long enough. I went to Lowes and picked up some longer grade 8 bolts and everything is nice and snug!

Got the light bar on as well. No gotta get the lights installed (next weekend)

It's a monstrous bumper! Thumbs up!

Fixed sagging drivers door. Bought a pair of the doorman hinge pins (99) also reattached a broken rear window wire while I was in there and put the door stop check thingy in. The old hinge pins are a real b**** to get out.
But it's done.
