For me, it's not so much as being too lazy to gas up, but more because when you're deep in the colon of Baja, there's not a lot of places TO gas up! Having the gas in the tank and not strapped to the car in bright come-and-get-me red makes you less interesting to possible banditos.

Didn't do much except wash it and cleaned some junk out of the interior.

Listed my brother's Sierra on Craigslist though, he's getting an XJ!

Tips on taking surface rust off steel? The front recovery I bought from Boost_Happy have rusted over in the winter salt. I had spray painted them with clear coat but It still rusted. I was thinking I'd just take a hard wire bristle attachment on my dremel and take it off then paint over again

Something heavier than a dremel would be best. An angle grinder with a wire wheel. End grinder (big dremel) with a wire wheel. An end grinder with a 40 grit flap wheel is really good for this. Doesn't dig in to the metal like an angle grinder flap wheel will, slickest sanding I'll ever need to do on steel. Various files for the hard to reach places. Wipe down with lacquer thinner after, then paint. But I might be assuming more rust. Maybe the dremel is exactly what you need.

Just my luck. Lol

Re-did my front lift with adjustable RE super flex upper/lowers RE 4.5" coils with a 1" coil spacer

And while I had it apart I swaps in a 4.10 d30 with a solid cover drilled and slotted rotors and refurbished serious off road one ton steering.

I think ima take a nap now

They are newly rusted due to salt on the roads. I think its pretty superficial. Ill take pics and post later

Scored some Brown Dog motor mounts at Pick-n-pull for $15. Also went mudding with a friend, got the jeep stuck in a mud hole on a tree root. Had to floor it back an forth to get out. We almost flipped. Didn't disconnect the swaybars though, probably why we got stuck. Picture after we got out.

7.5" prothane, 2" piece of 1.5 .25 wall DOM tubing on the coil bucket, 1-1/4" piece on top with a 2x2 square of 3/16 plate. Inside is a piece of 4-1/14" 1" UHMW rod to act as a hard bumpstop to prevent complete over travel. Tomorrow I will add a 1 or 1-1/4" piece of 1.75" .120 wall tube to the bumpstop tower on the unibody. Can't wait to feel this compared to my ghetto softballs and hockey pucks.

I love those. I run em on my race jeep. I jump it pretty high and it feels like I'm landing in a cloud. Love em.
