can't say I really knew that was an option. I saw the jig on IRO and ordered it and drilling was so easy. it only took a couple hours. and like bhennesse said it's reusable

Makes perfect sense. I'll keep that in mind for the next pair.

lol. if I ship a product to someone and they give me money, legally they don't have to return it to me. so it's only for people I'm acquainted with

theres enough. and if it does crack or break then I get to swap in a 5 speed. I'll snap a pic when I take the case back off for the SYE to see how much material is there

Is rust really that easy to take care of? Sanding it off and repainting? Superficial rust I mean, not deep stuff.

Find some aluminum rod that's a couple thousandths larger than the holes, cut it to length and gently hammer them into the original holes.

Replaced my Intake/Exhaust gasket, and upstream O2 sensor.............

Also cleaned the fuel rail, and replaced all the fuel injector o-rings......

I was forced to replace the semi-rigid nylon fuel line that runs up to the fuel rail. (mine was brittle, and broke when I tried to remove the quick-disconnect) I used some high-pressure fuel injection hose........

The old oxygen sensor was the original one, with 170,000 miles on it......
I didn't pre-soak it or pre-heat it.......It came right out with a 7/8" open-end wrench.......

Hmm... you guys are lucky. I've tried a couple times now and couldn't get 'em off. I guess i'll just wait until they go completely bad. (They're not bad now, I just wanted to replace them.)

Did you grind the gasket surface on the block? It looks like you hit it with a flap wheel.
