Yea it's always fun trying to line up holes that way lol. Did you get a press clamp with it? We got a cheapy from harbor freight and it works well enough for us.

 

Just curious, does the roll cage make it any harder to put them on?

 

Took the swaybar off again, in the mall parking lot, in 25° weather, in a nice jacket, in 2 mins, and didn't get dirty. I got my girl down to a science baby

 

Ditched the door bumper things and getting ready to trim the fenders.

 

Got the closest to being stuck I ever have been, went trailing and breaking ice and was caught up for a moment in one of the bigger holes of the trail. After multiple attempts I had to reverse 4lo it out and go through another deep puddle that gave me a small fight to redeem myself.

 

Had to explain to a guy in a beefed up suburban at the gas station about cherokee's after he said "you know, if you did a body lift you wouldn't have to cut your fenders"

Ha, had enough snow mounds to show off but not the time.

Was having a P1391 code issue. Within the last 6 days I've replaced the CPS, CKS, Ignition coil, TPS, and made sure the timing chain was indexed correctly. When I left it last it was still having issues. This morning I did the timing chain indexing, all was lined up. Put it back together, drove it to the store and back home with out any issues or a single CEL. Maybe I did something while putting it back together,..maybe it fixed itself...I don't know. But I do know now that every time I drive subconsciously I'll be watching that light. Ah; I hate when thing miraculously start working without an obvious reason...

 

Speaking of cutting fenders. That's what I did today.

 

That brings me to a story that just happened at work last week, so this guy comes in Pep Boys and he mentioned he had a 98 XJ so I was like cool I have a 99, started talking about lifts etc... Then he was like yeah I might do a 3inch lift and a 1in body lift I just didn't say anything hahah.

But anyway took the dogs out in the snow today in the Xj.

Oh and a question if I have extended adjustable shackles can I just use those for when I put my 4.5 on? I saved my stock shackles but I'm just wondering cause all I have right now is a 2in BB

 

aaaand put in a new rotor



Then I did some stock flexin' to see how it worked without the rear sway bar.

 

took my head (of the motor) to the machine shop. should be done tomorrow, and then sunday I will hopefully have my Jeep back up and running.

 

So doing shots of rum for my co workers birthday has odd effects.
