AX-5/AX-15: 75W-90 GL-3 Gear Lube (must be GL-3 not GL-5, good ones include Redline MT-90 or AMSOIL MTG)

Aisin has only ever recommended DexronIII/Mercon (originally DexronII on early models which was superceded by DexronIII/Mercon) and this is the fluid that should be used.
ATF+4 is much thinner and is known to lower line pressure and cause slipping in AW4s, especially high-mileage ones.

Steering.
Long arms is a project for the future not at the moment thought. Unibody plating and shackle relocation will come first. My short arms are brand new. So il beat the bushings in alittle then upgrade.
Yea buddy. Not yet though. Lol maybe in a month. Currently working on moving into a new house. And I get the garage
. It's only a single stall but still enough room for the jeep, and to work on it. Will be tight, but it will work.
Also need to do some wiring in the garage, before I can get to work.
There will be at least 2-4 4'x 2bulbs florescent light fixtures hung so I can see wtf I'm doing. And need to put in a few more outlets so I'm not tripping over extension cords.

Not going to rip off chuck1225 and multi-quote an entire page lol.
dmill89 is spot on. This ATF+4 bull**** was started by Chrysler after the last XJ was out of warranty. The actual transmission manufacturer, and other companies that have bought the AW4 (Volvo) have only ever recommended Dexron III/Mercon as a factory fill. If you want to use a non-D/M synthetic fluid you can experiment with an ATF that meets Dexron III/IV or Mercon specifications and JWS 3309 (specified by Aisin-Warner in the A340i, but can also be used in non-i), such as Castrol Transmax. ATF+4 is known to cause slipping in many AW4s.
For their own transmissions that they actually know something about, Chrysler is very adamant that D/M not be used. ATF+3 or +4 only in 30RH/32RH. D/M can cause permanent damage in a Chrysler transmission from clutch chatter. (And let's face it, those trannies don't need any extra encouragement...)
