Drone at low RPM would be tolerable. A constant annoying drone at 65+ is unbearable when you drive for 16hrs. Lol. (On my vacation) how is it at highway speeds? Did you use a stock 2.25" tail pipe?
I was dead set on magnaflow performance curve kit, until shipping was like $50 bucks. Made everything a lot more exspensive. So I've been looking at a cheaper route.

I was just answering a question pertaining to "what I did to my cherokee today." Seems pretty ontopic to me and the info is something others may find helpful as well. Im not trying to clutter the thread with offtopic rants or anything but Ill certainly resort to PM in the future as needed.
Back 100% on topic:
Gave my interior and door jams a thorough cleaning. Past two wheeling trips have gotten dust absolutely everywhere.

Make sure the lock ring is set right. There's a little bump area that it sits into. To far or to little and it will leak. Learned that the hard way when I did mine.

took a long hard look at making a real cold air induction setup for it. I determined I will need to use my sawzall, but other than that it should be harmless and fairly straight forward.
been bench racing an engine dyno figuring what i'll stand to gain with an obx long tube, new exhaust, 703 injectors, 01 intake, and my homebrew cai setup. this cai dealio should offer some amount of a ram air effect, as well.

So far so good, made it to work and back home, no leaks or issues from the new tank. Everything seems to be working like it is supposed to for once

Yeah, I got that right. The o ring I had in it had tried to make its way into the tank, looks like it was a little too small. So I put a new o ring in it when I was finishing the tank up. It shouldn't leak.

The benefit is the gas tank doesn't hang down like an anchor anymore.
Downsides include loss of cargo space, the gas tank being mostly inside the Jeep, and having to cut a pretty big hole in the floor of the Jeep.
I'll get some pics tomorrow, its dark outside now.

Finally got my rebuilt motor back in. Now comes putting all the pieces back together and hoping she'll start. I'm still waiting on a new throttle cable in the mail though so hopefully that'll get here soon.

What cable did you order? I got an omix from advance and it wasn't quite right. It works, just didn't fit quite right.
