On my 94 grand cherokee, what type of wax is best for the paint? I was told only use the spray wax, but i like the green paste(Turtle Wax) with the pad better. Any ideas?

Go get yourself some good Meguiars wax! I use the spray wax every once in a while as a touch up in between actual waxes. can't beat meguiars.

I use the Turtle wax polish and then follow with Nu-finish, last about a year or longer if I do not take it to, or through, a car-wash. Something about car-washes that strip all the hard work right off.

So the paste doesn't hurt the clear coat?

I only use meguiars in the tan bottles. I'll spend about 8hrs fully detailing it 2x a year then wash it and use a thin coat of wax every few weeks

What color?

For protection I would use Klasse AIO + Klasse Sealant. Or Collinite 845, or Jetseal 109.

For gloss, Poorboys Natty's Red is still one of my favorite budget waxes after about 10 years, especially on dark colors. Any other color and I would use Chemical Guys Lava in a heartbeat.

Turtle wax???? Really?

Does Nu Finish improve the shine as advertised?

Use the same brand wax as wash you use. I found that out the hard way.

FWIW, Maguiars makes decent and nicely priced products.
