Power/Comfort switch matter when replacing trans?
I am wondering if my none power comfort transmission jeep can be swap with a transmission with the power comfort one. Main reason I'm doing it is because mine when down and I found one online for cheap but I noticed it had the power comfort switch in the photos. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Edit... HELP!!!
I'm need help I don't know what else to do. I've replaced the motor and the transmission and im still have the same issues of no power and not shifting correctly. Any help is very much appreciated.

All the switch does is modify the shift logic program in the Transmission Control Unit.
the trans could care less.

The switch connects to the trans computer, not the transmission. What years are you trying to swap between? The https://naxja.org/threads/everything...e-aw4.1053970/ thread covers what years will directly interchange. The power/comfort switch implies an older Jeep that might not have the same spline count or rear output speed sensor.

I thought XJs ditched the Power/Comfort switch when they went to the HO engine? Later XJs just had the connection permanently jumpered to eliminate the switch and keep it in Power.
