I visited a local Walmart tire center and was interested in the Goodyear Authority tire,nice tire. I went up to the desk ask for help, just a sec. I told the guy the tire size and is kinda dumb founded at first, I again told him the tire size puts it into to computer and he said well we dont offer that tire! What the fu@% is what I wanted to say. he got another associate and he got him straighten out, they told me the price which I knew already. i was about to ask him since I was gonna mount these myself if there was a mileage warranty, well he pipes up and says there is NO warranty for this tire!!! the guy then says which I have never heard before is that this tire is not meant for the street!!! I wanted to jump over the counter and smack him,I have worked at a tire center for almost 3 years now and have never heard that. I then told him that I cant believe they say this tire is not meant for the street its a all terrain not a mud tire and the said I am not interested an walked away.
The reason for going to another tire place is I am just getting some options, my work place dont carry these tires.
I got home and decided to check 4 wheel parts and they carry the Goodyear Duratrac for a decent price cheaper than I can get at work think Im gonna get them.. Since Interco is doin whatever there doin which SUCKS big time!!

hahaha it's always funny how stupid some people are in certain departments. What do you expect though, it's not like they are getting paid enough to have the experience behind them already.

Shop Walmart for the price, not the service. What he probably meant was that tire came with no mileage warranty because it's an on/off road tire like my BF Goodrich Radial T/A K/O's which comes with no mileage warranty.

I tried getting tires at walmart a while back but they said they wouldnt sell me any because i wanted 235's and they could only put on the same size that the jeep came with from the factory. So i stopped going to walmart.

lol that funny consitering we have a 60 year old guy working our tire center, and hes of the (plays for home team) variety and knows what hes talking about. just gos to show you, you never know what you will find in south dakota

I HATE the Megalow Mart, I've found that the times that I have gone in that it's better to ask someone who is shopping there if they know where something is, the people working there don't even know where they are, let alone where the long stick matches might be! And why do they sell the bullets but not the gun?

What kind of bull**** is that? I get my tires at a place that only does tires. At least they know what they're talking about and will put the tires that I want, not what originally came from the factory.

If you're shifting as many units as Walmart you only care about the majority who will be happy with answers like that. Most people don't care a damn about tyres and they'll be happy with a £5 saving rather than the ability to make a choice.
