Ok so I know this sounds silly...but am I the only one that literally gets annoyed when you go to the auto parts and get the asked this question...

Parts Kid: Year Make and Model?
Me: 94 Jeep Cherokee
Parts Kid: Cherokee or GRAND Cherokee??

Did i say GRAND Cherokee??? NO I said Cherokee. The first few times I found it humorous but now I get annoyed by it

I think next time I will respond..."super cherokee"

 

Once I told the guy behind the counter that I had a 1998 Jeep XJ. All I got was a raised eyebrow and the response..."Isn't an XJ a Jagwaar?" (intentionally misspelled to elaborate his mispronunciation)

 

HAHAHAHAHA that is hilarous!!

I love when the guy brought me a radiator hose that wasnt even close to the one i was holding. I held them up and said...you sure this is right. His response "the computer said it is"

My all time favorite was when I asked the guy "what is the benifits of the more expensive part...why is it $100 more" His educated response: "well they are the same...but different"

 

I also fin it very anoying, I've ha times where they bring me a part, and I'm holding the original an I'm like "that's the totally wrong one" they usually ask if I'm sure.. Then they check on the computer and they put down the wrong vehicle. And sometimes for some reason after I tell them it's a 4.0 they end up bringing me crap for a jeep with like a 5.something...

 

Next time you get asked just say you have a "REAL" Cherokee

i don't find it annoying at all, mainly because my dumbass boyfriend always tells them we have a Cherokee.

 

The single most annoying is it 2wd or 4wd i actually told the guy once its 3 wheel drive the rear is locked and the front is open he was so clueless lol

 

Shoot I went to the Jeep dealer and dealt with the same crappy attitude like it was my fault for not telling him that it wasn't a grand Cherokee. I was like did the word grand ever come out of my mouth? To which he made some lame excuse.

 

Why do people always assume it's a grand anyway? What's the production numbers for both in the years that the cherokee was made? From what I see around here, It's 75% cherokee 25% grand.

 

ok i am a parts guy and i love craigslist...you search around on craigslist and there has got to be at least 10 or so grand cherokees listed as cherokees cause the owners are retarded...also i have had idiots come in saying i got a cherokee need this part...have it turn out to be wrong they say its my fault...go out to look at their vehicle to find its a grand cherokee so its better to be safe than sorry thats why i ask if its grand or regular...and even then you get the occasional "i don't know"

 

my friend works as a parts guy and he gets the people that go "i need a part for my toyota " and he goes "what kind is it" them "its a blue one"

 

Cant agree with you on this one...im one of the few that says 2wd....and yes its lifted
