BTW.. they were called DJ-Xx Depending on which CJ Chassis was used.
No more than any other Jeep can be.
If you find an Alaskan or export DJ.. you could have gotten 4wd and the world cab.
All those mirrors might be fun to try and use to navigate around obstacles though.

Yeah, it's one of the 2wd DJ-5A's. Still awesome though. I wouldn't want to wheel it at all, just as a summer time cruiser. I think they're asking $1400 for it - WAY overpriced!

In the mid to late 80's the USPS started getting rid of them as they were replaced by the LLV(long life vehicel). In my area, rural carriers could bid on them first. I would check the internet under rural carriers forums and see if you can find them for sale. I heard of several cases where rural carriers bought 2 of them for $300-$400 each and keep one for parts. MOst have probably bit the dust by now ,but you never know.
