Upgrade to synthetic rope

Yeah you're probably going to see a lot longer life in synthetic rope there than I would here.

If synthetic winch rope is covered so it isn't exposed to sun light it can last a long time, the one thing that degrades synthetic winch rope the fastest is getting covered in dirt and not being cleaned. [ as in washed and dried ]
The dirt gets in between the strands of the rope and will grind, and cut the strands, and degrade the ropes strength.

I've run my winch rope for 4 years now. The color has faded a bit but it's never frayed or broken at any point. I'll be buying another one soon enough for my DD's winch.
