Default Unknown switch in change holder

Hey guys, I just bought a 1999 Cherokee limited and I noticed that inside the change holder right under the shifter there is a small switch with a A and a M. Can someone please enlighten me on the function of this switch??

Its a v6 automatic if that helps..

thanks

Aftermarket. Hard telling what it's for.

And it's a L6. They quit putting V6's in these in 87 me thinks.

Disables auto arming of the alarm so the valet dude or dudette can park and retrive your ride when you go out for fancy-smanchy(?) dinner.

also usually only allows a certain top speed and lowers the rpm limit (on some systems) to keep the valet from taking a joy ride

Wrong section....??? But anyways, that's the silliest thing I've ever heard. Just flip it and see what happens!

Converts between Auto and Manual. Flip it and your transmission falls out.
