Who sells these weld in U-joint plates

Why would you do that?
Just tack the cap or run full circle clips and it'll never go anywhere...
If you must use that nonsense you can cut those out of sheet metal with some shears in about 2 minutes...

Or you can weld fender washers in instead.
X2 on just tacking them in I did mine that way but next time I'll go with the washers.

Both but mainly keeps the caps intact which keeps everything together. Its a new mod to me personally and I just welded my caps in. When they break I'll go with the washer route.
If I wanted to do "positive retention" on a cap, I'd probably make the yoke with deeper ears, and thread the outside for a plug. Fit the joint, screw in the plug, stake in place.
Time to change the joint? Back the plug out - takes more work with the staking, but staking it in means it won't come out until you want it to!

Still think this product is GHETTO FABulous.... and the way IRO advertises them as being almost alloys is a total joke and they should be cast out the 4wd community for suggesting welding a piece of sheetmetal to your axle shafts makes them that much stronger.
