Tune up time
Hello guys im new here dont know if this is where is should post this but im going for it.
Decided to spend $200 dollars on a tune up, headlights, oil change, and transmission kit as well as some new stab links. Now is there anything else I should do to my Cherokee? I just bought it and Lake00xj told me to change all my fluids so i figured why not a tune up since its having troubles starting sometimes, but just curious is there anything else i need to do for preventive maintenance or should i be good..for now??

All of that is good, but without knowing anything about your XJ, not much can be said about what is recommended for it, other than what you've shown in the picture.
It will be summer quick, and I don't see coolant in your pic. You will likely want to flush the cooling system and put in a new tstat if you dont know when it was done last.
Brakes rotors, pads, drums and shoes, tie-rod ends, control arm bushings, tires...this list could get real long but you should be checking these things out.

Coolant looks and smells new, Should i flush it anyway? I'll do the pinky check through the fill hole on the diff, and not to sound dum but I've never changed transfer case fluid, I see the fill port though lol. Also realized my cherokee has a non servicable fuel filter which blew my mind. Also about the coolant my temp gage is kinda working but does not go above 120 no matter what just drove home about 80, (70 on the speedo) my dad couldn't keep up in his new forester going 75 hahaha, with the cruise control 20 mins on the highway and no movement from the coolant gauge it moves but barely any.

Thank you for the advice its much appreciated as I'm new to the jeep life, I came from a 1980 olds cutlass 4 door sleeper i built with a 455 4x4s are something that has grown on me over the years!! Should I get any kind of radiator flush or just drain and stick a garden hose in it and let it run while heats on full blast?

I wouldn't recommend using that ATF+4, the AW4 should take DexronIII/Mercon, some have had ATF+4 work ok, but many others have reported slipping after switching to ATF+4, so it is best to stick with DexronIII/Mercon (especially since DexronIII/Mercon is generally cheap and easy to find).
Like docmedpros said it is best to change all fluids unless you know when they were done last.
Otherwise just give everything a good looking over and see what needs done (or take it to someone you trust to do this), like others said without seeing it personally it is hard to say whit it might "need"

Why would I run a gm and ford based tranny fluid in my Chrysler transmission I hope your joking because I really don't feel safe using anything other than what factory calls for and as far as I'm aware from my training atf+4 is a special additive based transmission fluid to which people use in older gms as well also the atf+4 is full synthetic so yes it may slip but I'm just praying to god it didn't man now you've uve Got me debating on what to do here man well this explains it thank god you told me man your a lifesaver http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/o...-fluid-685974/

Dex/Merc.
I'd definitely flush the cooling. Maybe run a load of distilled water between to clean out any gunk. I did 5 flushes of distilled and got a TON of sediment/rust out. Runs alot cooler now.

Ive ran Amsoil ATF for the life of mine with no problems but dex-merc is the way to go.
