They are better off road. They will tuck up in the fenders better. EAsier on steering, weigh less.

Other than that, I don't know why?

They gained an inch in width mounted on 8" rim. Skinny tire on a 8" rim is a pain to seat. Should have had a shop do it. Spent about 1 1/2 trying to get it to seat.

Ive got an old bubble balancer, though I am not sure that I will use it. I want to try to get em balanced as best I can, and tire shop has the nicer equipment to doit. Yeah I chose these beacause they are narrower(better for mpg),
easier to stuff,
less weight than 12.5 tires,
Less leverage on hubs(because of width)
Tread depth(better bite, maybe last
Tough sidewalls,
I think its just an all around better tire for what I want out of my jeep. I can build my stock axles and they will hold up better. because I dd and wheel it. I wanted stock axles to keep width and weight down. I am gonna swap rear to a 8 3/4 but dont want to swap out front. I like my ground clearance yet don't want a big lift.

I say go for it. If you want them to stay skinny and a little taller put them on a 6.5-7 wide rim.

What inch lift are you running? Looks like a 3 or 4?

I would suggest you bump it to where you have it flexed in the picture. Then work on shackle location and down travel. Will save cutting you fenders up. Or just hack the fenders and go from there.

I have a friend who has a land cruiser with 2” of lift and 37 pit bulls. His tire only has one inch between the fender well sitting on level ground. Its all down travel and it flexes pretty well.

Thats the plan. Trying to keep stock flares. Im at 4" front 4.5" rear. Im already cut and folded, and raised stock flairs. Just need to trim flairs at bottom, bump it where I got it then its all about droop. I like em low cog, with skinnies, and droop ftw!

Yep that's the way I like it. Low and tall!

I am 3” front and 3.5 or 4 rear with 33's. With 2.5 bump in the front the tire is just touching the water bottle. LOL. So I need to relocate it.

Tires look great. I was going to get those but got a deal on 33's.

I do notice a difference now with these larger tires. My braking went to crap, and power is down. 4.88's will be going in asap.
