Default Tint

Anyone know the legal tint limit for Maine and possibly some good quality tint that doesn't bubble or turn purple from the sun

I live in Maine. No limit on back windows I don't think. The way the front works is that the limit is 35% and you need a certificate to show that that is how much light is let through. Many tint shops give this certificate when they install. On the windshield, tint can go from the top down to the as-1 line, which should be in your upper left hand corner while sitting in the jeep.

Yeah, well we live in a state where it's technically illegal to "modify (a motorcycle) in a way which results in operation louder than stock." Something like that. Basically, it is technically illegal to have a louder than stock motorcycle here, but nobody really gets pulled over for it. I just hate the fender flare laws cause I like the tires to poke out a little but don't want to spend the $400-500 for new fender flares haha

That's why I had to put fender flares on my xj apparently the tires can't stick out at all is what I've heard. The only other reason that I committed to buying flares was to protect the side of my jeep from getting hit by rocks when wheeling. My mirror has taken a few nice to it also.

If you install tint correctly, it shouldn't bubble. Not for a very long time.

A good brand to use is Llumar.

The leading cause of window film turning purple and bubbling is using Windex, or anything with ammonia in it to clean the windows.
