i wouldnt recommend getting an xj unless you really do your homework on them... exstensive homework. once you really know an xj and its parts it is a GREAT vehicle as long as you can do the small things yourself, because their will be alot of small things

small things like what? and what model would you recommend for mild off roading/mudding?

i mean it shouldnt really matter what model, the better models are just different trims and interior. and by minor things i mean like the entire coolant system pretty much sucks so the engine runs pretty hot compared to other engines... maybe some small electrical problems here and there but overall xj is a very solid reliable truck that you'll fall in love with and will be well worth the purchase

RUST


Watch out for rust. Crawl around under it and check it over well. If its rusted up bad just walk away. It is something that you can deal with, but as MANY of us here know, its a huge pain in the ***.
