hahaha, love that, I would always see people write that when I was looking for my cherokee on craigslist. "These V6's run forever, nothing can stop them" Then you call them to check if its a V6 or inline 6 and they dont even know what you're talking about!!!

A few weeks back I met one of my friend's buddies, Rob, while he was over at their house. He had a '95 ZJ that I saw parked outside before I went in to meet him(I couldn't help but notice the 4x4, lack of mud and scratches).

We got to talking, and I offered to show off my '92 XJ to him. As soon as he saw it, he said "Sorry that you can't go offroad in that thing."

I got him to follow me up to a trail where my 2wd promptly outperformed his ZJ. He apologized and gave me a joint.

I love my Jeep.

Hell yeah! My XJ with broken 4WD has outdone my buddies with "respectable" F-350 trucks. They just sink in that south Alaska mud, and their street tires just spin in the snow. One guy with a big triton V10 got really, really pissed when I beat him in a race on a frozen lake, any moment he hit the gas his wheels just spun, but the little chevy V6 let the power get down.

To anyone, if you don't have a towing hitch yet, I'd say get one. You'll prove your jeeps prowess at least once, I guarantee it.

The Wk2 weighs from 4400-5200 Lbs (Allpar.com) vs my 3100 lb Xj. Too heavy for my liking.

My brother and sister in law got all excited when the wife said I got a jeep "mind you there 11 ans 9 years old" They saw the cherokee and they say "hey wheres the Jeep" lol you're looking at it. And they say why didn't you buy a Denali like my dad. I told them I don't need power fold down seats and no ground clearance.

I have a ZJ but I don't see a "things not to say to a ZJ owner" so.
1) I drive my Jeep into my auto shop at my school and the only girl in the class says, "Oh i thought you meant one of those Wranglers, not this thing."
2) Same girl says, "Oh I'm buying a 98 wrongler I bet I could out wheel that, cuz that thing has four doors it can't do anything cool." Well its not a transformer.
So I went wheeling with her in her little wrongler and my stock ZJ with bad tires out wheeled her wrongler by a mile.

Most important one.

What the hell is an XJ?

Best response, if you have to ask, you can't afford it. Always pisses people off.

Thx Beerfest.
