Tan XJ Roll Call
I wanted to see how many tan XJs are out there and what they all looked like. Doesnt matter if its a rattle can job, an expensive professional paint job, or anywhere in between. Post pics of your tan XJ and some details of how it was painted and other details about your XJ if you want.
Heres my rattle can job. Cost me around $100 bucks

^^^ You rattle canned yours right. How's the windshield trim pieces holding up with the paint on them? Did you remove them when you painted them or leave them on? Did you do any prep work or prime them before you painted them. All my trim is chrome and I had a hard time with the paint flaking off when I painted my grill a while back. I don't think I preped them very well nor did I use primer. I'm getting ready to paint all my trim semi flat black and want to do it without worrying about the paint flaking off.

This one I painted but I sold it before I finished lifting it and putting some more work to the interior. I think total it cost me around $120

my 89 2 door is tan on tan and is a base model. i don't have any pics but we all know what an xj with a 3" lift and 31" tires looks like. i have done quite a bit of work to it and still have a fair amount to go. the current project is to rebuild the D30 in my garage and make it 4x4.

i started prep work on mine yesterday. I'm not painting over the old paint, just peeling too bad. I'm stripping it all and its taking longer than i thought. Probably a month to do it all. But its going to look awesome

Nice pics everyone! Sure, put your gold XJ on. Its close enough to tan.
I just finished the windshield trim. I have the laredo package and all the trim is chrome. It was nice when it was white, but doesnt look right with the tan. I HATE PREPING AND PAINTING TRIM! It sucks!!!
