^This. Well, i have a kenwood 1000 watt amp so its overpowering my sub a bit but either way it sounds GOOD.

 

Xj's are old school so I think you need an old school amp... I think you should hunt down an old soundstream "reference" 500.... Great amp IMHO

I've got 2 kicker comp vr 12's and a 1000 watt ken wood amp and my car shakes!
I've got the amp on the lowest power and I still get huge hits. They also pick up everything

 

I've got 2 1300 watt Pioneers (12") and a dual channel 2500 watt Kenwood amp and it rattles the hell out of everything in my jeep. I love it though

Usually the amp goes for about $130 shipped, check ebay amazon ect.
I picked up the speakers for $50 a piece but I got a free box 2x$50.
a good ported box will run you $100
The wires cost about $35.

If you want to play hip hop get a ported box, this gives you that bass.

If you want it to be more punchy lets say to play house music the get a sealed box. and you maybe need one 10 or12" sub.

The only good kind of music :P But I do appreciate all the posts on this. I like to think long and hard before I go spend money on sound stuff. Knowing my luck I would end up doin somethin wrong. I'm not too good with electrical. I'm more mechanical. If I get the stuff soon I'll post again on here and maybe a picture also. Thanks again!
