I'll agree on the wiring, but only the mounting adaptors if you have a non-standard opening (as is the case on 97-01 XJs), but if you are replacing a standard 1-DIN factory radio (as is the case in 96 and older XJs) with a standard 1-din aftermarket radio the factory metal brackets or metal "L" brackets you make or buy are a lot more solid than a plastic "mounting kit".

Okay you guys helped a lot with what to do. I think I'm going to get the radio up top and get the wiring harness. So hopefully ill have some music playing for no more than $25. If it last 6 months and then breaks I can't really complain.
