Spray can bedliner for new roof rack
So I'm receiving my rola cargo rack and I want to spray it with a bedliner. My questions are what brand would you recommend and what prep if any should I apply to a new rack? I'll also be using silicone sealant to help prevent rusting. Thx.

Most guys will tell you to just use the Duplicolor TR250
Hopefully this year I will be running a test of spray on bedliner.
Trying the TR 250, Duplicolor BAA2010, Herculiner HALB15, and Rustolemum 248914.
These are all the ones that I could find in rattle can versions.
My reason for testing all these is because I want to see if any are a close enough match
to Line-X that will not make my OCD go into overdrive.
I made the mistake of having some pieces Line-X'ed. I love it.
Problem is now I want to Line-X everything. And that could get expensive.
Speaking of which it would probably cost too much but if you are local to a Line-X I would
at least go talk to them to see what they would charge.
Also don't forget the roll on versions of Duplicolor, Herculiner, and Monstaliner.
The Monstaliner is kind of cool cause they have tints for colors.

I used Rust-Oleum spray on truck bed coating on my rock sliders at first. I'm very surprised how durable it is. I liked it enough to use it on my rear hitch, gas tank skid and roof rack also. Not to much texture. Comes in a rattle can from home depot. I used self etching primer first then the bedliner.

maybe not down to bare metal...but definitely prepped well enough that the surface is properly etched so that your liner coats have something good to adhere to.
Just my 2 cents... Im more mechanically inclined than paint and bodywork though I have done a fair amount myself.
