I read an article on Yahoo about the auto's from the East Coats that were bought by the insurance companies & are for headed for the crusher. Everything from &100,000+ Ferarri's, to Antique autos and everything inbetween.

Thought I'd check out the Jeep stuff after checking out the Exotic's.... It appears to me that some people who lift the Wranglers (more than the others) can't seem to figure out how to drive a lifted 4x4 since a ton of them are roll over cases.....

Prices are cheap if you're into rebuilding a rig, have fun & check it out.

I worked for a business that bought salvaged volvos, fixed them and put them back on the road as salvage title cars. Some would only need a grill and a headlight.

Think about it, if you look at some of the prices of the Jeeps, you could buy that Green Rubi & strip it down. You'd end up with good axles (as long as nothing is bent, lockers, etc. You could strip it and sell it back to a scrap yard. It's gotta be cheaper than what i am doing. Close to $3000 for my 8.25, HP D30, and all the parts to rebuild them with lockers and replacing/rebuilding them both.

man, if I had a job that I got some actual money with I would probably grab me one of those. could get some nice parts from it, sell some, and then scrap the rest.

My 85 is an auction vehicle. I got it from a WVa state auction. It was a decommissioned fire support truck. It was wrecked in the front passenger side w/a blown up V6. Nothing a few body panels couldn't fix.

your still gonna pay good dollar for one of those anyway. A lot of jeep guys go to those auctions to build some mean trail rigs.

I have no idea as to how the bidding works with this company, or when it ends. Pricing is really cheap for that green Rubi. It even says that the motor only has 19,000+/- miles on it.

When you sign up things get explained more and is a little different now that your a member. "Pure sale" means what ever the max bid is is how much your going to pay for it plus the fees. "Minimum bid" means thrre is a reserve on it just like ebay. "On approval" means that the seller has to ok the final bid price. Click "members fees" to see all the fees that may apply to you when you buy something.
