Stubborn steering wheel
I need to replace the clock spring in a 2000 Grand Cherokee. I have tried the jaw type steering wheel puller, with no luck. I even when to the local salvage yard and purchased another steering column (also with a bad clock spring) and tried to remove that steering wheel. Same results. What could I be doing wrong here? I did the obvious such as removing the nut on the steering shaft. I am just stumped with this issue.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

In my experience you have to whack the top of the puller screw once it's torqued up to shock the splines to release the wheel. It's always worked for me. It even worked on my 37 Dodge which had been sitting in a barn for 20 years. I had to persuade it with a little penetrating oil, but it came off.

Please keep the ideas coming!
