Default Rough country vs. Rustys?

Which is better? Looking to get my first lift a 3" with full leaf packs and coil springs and am looking for a smooth highway ride with the ability to hit some trails now and again

if you want a "smooth ride" you aren't going to be happy with either one. I'm riding on a 3" BDS lift and am very happy with the ride just a little stiffer than stock but its alot more $. also check out ome Old Man Emu.

Use the search button. You'll find a few rough country haters, but you'll find alot of people who love their rough country lifts (like myself). And also alot of people who have had nothing but problems with rusty and his products.

dont buy either....they are both on the low end of the market...hence the price.

re 3.5 super ride is prob a better fit for what you are trying to do. they have stock rubber bushing on the control arms, so it will ride closer to stock than most. dont buy any control arms with poly bushings. they wear fast and transmit alot of noise and vibration. rubber rides smoother and flexes better. there is my $.02

bds is a good choice, i just dont like the poly bushings.

Thanks for all the replies fellas! Looks like I'm ruling out both for now, the bds looks good except it doesn't come with shocks, and I'm also considering the old man emu although it is pricey, I'm only seeing a 1.5" lift kit from them for xj's, but I guess that would be fine, they say 31's will clear, anyone have experience with that?

BDS at 1739.00 plus shipping ??..... RC at 769.00 shipped to me with CF disscount....Rustys at north of 900.00 + shipping to my zip 180.00. These are all at 4.5" lift for what is basic the same lift as far as parts included. With all that said I have talked with all three and BDS Was rude/snobbish about my ? asked....RC was help full but some what short and Rustys was very nice and friendly.....So what do you do??? At a 1,000.00 + more money I would say BDS is out...ride my be a bit better but for that much more money it better be. Rustys want's 100.00 more for shipping than RC that ****'s me off why the huge diff?????

I for one am at a loss....They all do the same thing lift....Will one last longer? Is one stronger than the other? Warranty's are about the same. Will one sag more and the other not? Can any one help us ??

Thanks 1HB

Well I agree to a point but what does Say BDS offer over RC or Rustys to the tune of 1000.00+ for the same parts? And I know I won't get sh** for the 100.00 plus Rustys nails you for shipping. Please enlighten me am not seeing 1000.00 +shipping better kit....Just saying... Not looking for a argument just someone to shed some lite on this. You know some tangible or meaningful, useful reason to spend that much more on a short arm kit.

Thanks

I have to go with Rough Country. I am happy with my current lift from them, plus they have great customer service. I would easily order again.

I have had a Rustys kit too, several years ago, and it road about the same but I paid a crazy amount of money for shipping.

In My Opinion: +1 Rough Country
