Please enlighten me am not seeing 1000.00 +shipping better kit....Just saying... Not looking for a argument just someone to shed some lite on this. You know some tangible or meaningful, useful reason to spend that much more on a short arm kit.

Thanks

Lifetime warranty.

I am planning on doing the RC lift. I just can't decide between 3 or 4.5".

I'm worried that the 4.5 won't be all i need and i'll have to spend more to make it work. Like C/A drop brakets, sye,cv d/s.

I mean wtf why can't someone come out with kit thats reliable, complete and affordable. I know that xj's are diff throughout their production, but if 97-01 are diff from the earlier xj's then make kit for the 97-01's specifically.

I don't know wtf to do.

Oh and RE and bds are *FVCKIN on CRACK. Re is 800 for 3.5 and thats with the cheapest shocks and not shipped.

J-yards lifts are out. I want new.
Sorry for the rant. I'm done now.

If I may say...as I am not sure who's kit to go with, leaning towards RC.... but I can say at 4.5 lift you do not need a SYE and C/V DS right away but it is strongly recommended IMO as well as others I have dealt with. As far as the CA drop kit it will improve the ride and get the front end geometry (CA wise) back to a stock like stance. Just my 2 cents

The way I see it is any short arm lift over 2" is going to be rough at any cost the spring rate in most all kits is about the same. Ride is compromised by going more than 2" and not dropping the rear mounting points witch creates a severe CA angle. The steeper the angle the harder it hits or in this case rides. IMHO any lift over 3" is to much for a short arm lift if you are looking for ride quality with out a CA drop.

Agreed. They are all going to be rough. And IMO it doesn't bother me. But I just rode in a friends RC lift and the one I had at the time was a little softer. But a lift is a lift. If it gives you the height and performance you want. That's all thay matters!

from what i have read online and heard.
lots of praise for Rubicon express,
people seem to think old man emu has a very smooth ride( reason for my recommendation since "smooth ride" was a factor) alot of people unhappy with rustys( although I'm sure there are just as many how are very happy with them)

all I can attest to is what I have. 3" bds lift w/ stock control arms.(for now) as i said before, the ride is very nice. is it worth the extra money? I could not say other than if something breaks i will not be paying for it.

good luck!
