Damn! Sometimes infections do that. We can all take a lesson in 'nuke it from orbit' no matter how insignificant it seems. A friend of mine had a similar starting event that luckily didn't go as far. Good job fighting that mess.

Drill bit grabbed a tendon and broke it. I had to reverse the drill to get it out.

Nah. It had been sewn back together in 1992 as a result of another accident. I just left it this time. Not bothersome at all.
