For each post that goes through the roof, your going to drill out two small steel plates that the tube goes through. Then sand which the roof with the plates, welding the outer one to the tube. Then as you do the final assembly and drop the inner tubes in, silicone or use Teflon gasket material as I did in and out. Then using SS bolts bolt the two plates together. This helps to keep the roof from rocking and enlarging the hole as well. Haven't had any leaks, even using the pressure washer. This might not be for you though. Four additional holes (3 if you use a triangle) per tube might give you heart failure.

A-pillar is mounted to the new sliders.
B-pillar and C-pillar are mounted to the frame rail.

if you don't want to go through the roof then just do a full internal. throw the exo out the door with that

Hmm now that you explain it more doesnt sound like it will leak if my welds are good. I could probly run the pipe thru the roof and weld the gap shut any suggestions on how to run the pipe inside so I can still use my back seat and cargo area?
