The most common repair is to cut them out with an angle grinder and stick in some 2x4 square DOM tubing to have as rock sliders/rocker panels.

I will have to get pictures up. The floor went with the rockers so I am trying to figure out how to do it... I think the top is still salvageable it is just the inside and face that needs to be corrected

I'd say if you have a welder, buy some 18gauge sheet metal and cut out the old stuff and patch it with the new, then bedline everything to prevent rust.

we have a mig now but looking into a 230 arc. I was either thinking that, tube or fiberglass? I know it is able to break but I doubt I will be crawling to that extent

WOW. Grind ALL the rust off, buy sheetmetal and weld it it to replace the floor. the use POR-15 and bedline it, that should solve your cancer problem. It'll be a ton of work....

Thats the way to go, just make sure you do it right the first time. And complain to someone in the government about all the salt they put down

I think its either something with the year or what. because Other 95 sports have had this same problem. I do know that it is from those stupid chain hookups on the underbody. the moisture gets in and rusts inside-out. those fragments were all that were under the carpet. I didnt cut much else

I'm still trying to figure out what is left to weld to.

Arc isn't the best choice for thinner gauge sheet metal.

its not THAT bad. There is still a solid underbody frame and rear end frame. We plan to weld the sheets to it when all cleaned off, then do the rockers and tie into the floor, then herculine and finish the interior. If you look on tarantulacustoms.com there is a model xj that I want to fab the fender flares and bumpers after
