Default Repainting? Whats best.

Yesterday I finally got to painting my hood and I sanded it and primed it then sanded again and painted it black then clear coated it. Well it turned out really bad. Soo could I just add another coat of black and clear coat that and it'll be good? Or do I need to just restart it and prime it again.

I can't really explain it. Like some of the paint is lighter than the rest and you can see the lines. I'll try and get a pic at lunch and post it.

What did you paint it with?
Sounds like you didn't put enough color on. Or you did a really rough clear job.

Get some PPG shopline base and PPG shopline clear. Cheap and is good stuff. I paint professionally with it every day.

If you want it to look good you really need to sand it down to the primer and start over.

Yea start by sanding down again, I paint professionally too but I want with a rattle can paint job on mine. I paint offshore equipment witch is way different than painting cars so I started with a good sand job and krylon flat tan. You should go with a flat color they stick better almost like a primer than come back with the clear. I had my reasons why I want with rattle can. Quick easy to fix, change out parts it'll cost 7 dollars in paint and bam. But you do need to start off with a good sanding job paint light sand than clear and maybe if ya want use as much clear as ya want. People don't even realize I rattle caned my hole jeep till they ask me and I tell them. I painted my hole jeep in a week I got the top left but that's it.
