Default Recovery straps?

Can someone link me to a good recovery strap that I could use to pull people out with?
Found out that the tow strap ive been using is a little dangerous.

I have 2 in the back of my jeep.
This one
http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200451242_200451242
And this one:

The second one is kinda over kill but I wanted a heavy duty backup just in case the first one ever fails.

I'm not a fan of the straps with the hooks on the end. I would try and stay away from those because the hooks are the weak point.

thanks for the links man, and yeah im not really a fan of the hooks because they are always awkwered to hook up when your pulling someone out who doesnt have tow points.

Just whatever you decide to buy, make sure you buy a Recovery Strap and not a Tow Strap. Yes, there is a difference. Also, after out wheeling in mud if you play in it) it would be a great idea to clean off your strap/ straps. The mud can get in them and act like a saw and shorten the lifespan of your strap/ or it could become dangerous to use.

As for me, i'm using ARB straps and would buy them again in a heartbeat. All four of them.

I use Smitty Built 3" x 30' straps, ( I think they're $40 now, I paid $30 each for mine. ) I carry two in the Cherokee with a 12' 3" tree strap, a ****** block, and 3 3/4" clevises along with a 100 foot synthetic extension for my winch that has synthetic line. All together I can reach out about 250' and have used about 150' - 175' to get out of some 3-5 foot snow drifts.

The ARBs are good straps, I just don't have money enough to pay for the ARB name.

whatever you get, just don't get a strap that is rated too high. a 4 inch wide strap is overkill, you won't get the proper stretch/recoil for our light jeeps, you might as well just get a tow strap.
i've used 2 and 3 inch wide straps in some crazy situations and never had one fail.
power wash your muddy straps then throw them in a pillow case and toss them in the washer, then lay them in out in the sun to dry.

also, you need to give each strap some time after a tug so they can shrink back to normal size before you tug again. a couple times is ok, but i carry 4 straps with me as to let each one relax after a pull.

yeah ive been wanting to get one since i got stuck and a guy pulled me out with a tow strap. just had a bad feeling about it and want to get one asap.

also, my friend always uses chains to pull people out and that is one of my major pet peeves. chains should not be used to pull people out imo, if they snap they could take a windsheild or your head out.

This is very true. My 4" strap was free so I can't complain.
