3/4" shackles (i recommend 3 or 4)
20'x3" TOW rope (no metal hooks btw)
30'x3" RECOVERY strap (never comes with metal hooks)
a foldable shovel
****** blocks (i say 2, but 1 is okay)
tree saver.
the reason I say a TOW rope and a RECOVERY strap is that sometimes the solid rope is better and sometimes the stretchy recovery rope is needed.
you will use a recovery strap more tho

Can someone explain what the ****** blocks are used for? I haven't had any experience wheeling, as I'm a fairly new Jeep owner, and visually, I just can't figure it out though I know they serve a vital purpose.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thank you so much! Kinda my guess, but I don't assume anything anymore. The pictures are great at illustrating their use, thanks again!!!

No metal hooks?? How come? I've seen tow straps at the store, but not tow rope. Would a high work load rated rope from Homedepot work? I have the factory bottle jack and wood for flats, is a high lift jack needed (btw, can a high lift jack be used as a come along?).

if something breaks while you are recovering the metal hooks can become a projectile. a cloth strap or rope is much less likley to kill you or damage stuff

2 20'recovery straps
30' Tow rope
HiLift
Gloves
****** Block
E-tool (tri-fold shovel)
Tree Saver
Full size spare tire
If you don't have a winch, an extra d-shackle can act as ****** block to use with a tow rope. This should only be done as a last resort though.
