thanks for all the info and the clarify of tow and recovery straps. I am def gonna get a 20' bubba rope army grade and several tree savers and question about the drings can i use that to connect 2 straps together or no cause the pull from both end will yank it apart

I personally use a 1" D-ring for connecting straps but you need a line weight for each strap when you do

cool. Ive done standard towing before but i know recovery towing can be alot different. I wanna be prepared so i ever have to get into action i wont be useless

when winching or recovery there is alot of stress on the line, if any component fails that metal end or cable can hurt someone or cause damage that can be avoided with a line weight. If it does happen to break it will (hopefully) fall to the ground avoiding any damage or injuries



and like I said I have seem people use dog packs filled with weights as a line weight before even
