Default Lift kit or piece together?

Which would be better to do just get a lift kit. or go piece together? im thinking it might be around the same price range if you go piece together depending on prices you get. I mean you do have more options in height as you do a piece together. What im really trying to find out is a piece together going to be cheaper then a lift kit from RC? wanna 4.5inches i would get new shocks but coils, leafs, control arms etc.

if you put it together used you can do it pretty cheap. might have to wait for some good deals though.
Nice thing about new is that you know you get everything you need. all your hardware and misc stuff.
The other advantage I see to piecing it together is that you can get exactly what you want. The only problem is sometimes that you dont really know what you want until you get to use it some.

I would suggest buying a kit with everything/mostly everything you would want, then change/add what you don't like after using it, I would read up and go long arm now if thats something you want, also look into 4link/3link/Y arm and pick now so you only have to do it once. At 4.5" short arms aren't to bad. but the ride alone was worth the extra money IMO, but it is something you could do later too...

Buy a kit, that way I won't hear you complain about death wobble after cobbling some junk together.

In my opinion you would be better off with a short arm and full leaf pack over a long arm and an add a leaf. the AAL are junk.

What is the main difference? i can always upgrade later in the future when i have the money to buy a full leaf right? sounds weird i know. But you gotta take what you can afford. Well at least i want to right now. But i really dont get the difference between add a leaf and full leaf pack.
