a lunch box locker is an auto locker.
so yeah, it will allow the wheels to turn at a different speed and click going around corners. just like a spartan, aussie, lock-rite, etc.

the only ones that permanently lock the rear axle is a spool, mini-spool or lincoln locker. you don't want one of these unless it's trailered and has big axles to handle the torque. generally only good for drag racers.

With a lunchbox or any other true locker, the power goes to both wheels on that axle, or the one with the most traction at the time.

With a limited slip differential, the power goes to the wheel with the least traction at the time.

So a limited slip is no different from an open diff?

No, the axle with the least resistance gets like 60% power and the other gets 40% power. But a locker is like 100% and 100% because they both get the same amount of power that a single wheel would get with an open diff. By the way, a Powertrax No-Slip locker is one of the luchbox style lockers that doesnt really click, i lve mine a bunch and it works great.

that's what i run, and yeah, they do click.

you can quiet it down a bit by using a heavier gear oil tho.

i haven't had any issues with it locking while turning, unless i'm on the gas.

but it depends on the install. the packaged instructions suck, so it's better to go online to get a more detailed idea.

i greased up my springs pretty good, that also holds the smaller one inside the larger one for an easier install.

i have heard of others that experience a loud bang while it unloads at times.
