Default Rare XJ

So I have a 1996 XJ 2 Door Manual Transmission 2WD. I have never found another in the 5 years I've had it. BTW I've never had an issue with it. Love it.

I've been searching for the stock shifter boot/e brake cover/center console but have had no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what came stock in the center console area? Thanks.

BTW how many of you have the same set up?

I have a 93 two door manual 4x4......I just swapped in a 2000 center console so my factory console is for sale. It has everything besides the shift boot and mine obviously has the transfer case shift indicator. There are three small holes in it from where the previous owner mounted a CB....interested?

I have a 93 2 door manual 4x4 as well. Mine only came with a small "console" around the shifters. You should be able to get a shift boot from a Jeep dealer.

Part #s (at least for the 91-93 XJs)
Outer boot (the part you see on the inside of the vehicle) : 5300 4433
Shift Bezel (part that holds the outer boot to the console): 5300 0056
Insulator (covers floor around opening for shifter): 5300 5395

They may come as a pack, I don't remember when I got mine.

If I am not mistaken any center console from the 96 and prior XJs should bolt in.

I like having the "mini console" as it gives me room between the seats to make my own cup holders, CB/Ham radio mounts, etc.

Thanks for the part numbers that helps. You guys have 4wd drives so it has a slot for you're H L stick right? So a 2wd should have something different. I have a center console from a 93 4 door automatic that I made work. But I also want the factory one so I have extra room.

The 2wd console would have the same area where the 4wd shifter should be but it would just be flat rather than having a slot. All 4 pictures are good examples. Didn't mean for it to happen that way but after I added the last two pics to show mcguyver_xj I noticed that they worked for your question too.

4wd:

2wd: (See slot, but no shifter. May also be flat on some models)

I do not believe there is a difference. The overall large square hole is the same it is the bezel (or boot for the manual) that snaps in that makes the difference.

Auto:

Manual:

Along with my 2001 Automatic Cherokee, I've also got a '94 2 Door Manual 4X4. It's got a replacement cue-ball shifter which I really love.
