This is what i have and it works great, it doesn't take gas so you don't need to worry about that running out, just plug, clamp and weld

I agree with bomb, his looks like a great welder because no refilling gas bottle and not as much hassle as a gas mig welder, half the price and just as good!

"In before someone tells you to buy an expensive Miller"
That lincoln has a good amp rating for when you get better, and need
to weld thicker steels.
But 110 welders have portability.

Love my Lincoln, but don't bother with that one, can't even MIG 1/4" on that. Also buy from a welding supplier, don't buy from a big box store when it comes to welders.

I had a POS Craftsman 110 V MIG that was crap. I did learn to weld a bead with it but I also learned to swear at it and hit it with a hammer.
I did a lot of shopping and ended up buying a Hobart Handler 187 from Tractor Supply on sale for about $640. It welds 1/4" without a problem. I have had it about two years now and have had no issues at all. It still works great. I would by it again without issue if I had to make the same decision over again.
The one you are looking at is one of the ones I was looking at. I am sure it will be fine for your needs. I just chose the Hobart after reading different reviews and opinions on them. I don't quite remember now but I think the performance was a little better on the Hobart. Maybe the duty cycle or welding thickness....I don't recall now.
Good luck.

Older Lincolns are great but the newer ones are built in Mexico and quality sufferes. I help out at a repair shop and those come in all the time. Get a Hobart and you won't be disappointed.

My Lincoln is a 110 and it penetrates 1/4" fully. I've had a number of a professional welders offer reasonable explanations on why 1/4 won't fully penetrate yet mine does just fine.
If you have 220 available go with 220 or a 220/110 machine.
