Quality subs and amps: what to look for

Good sound quality is better than just being loud. The Mexicans out in the orchards have loud crappy systems, and we roll our eyes and laugh at them. Right? A good system with proper sound staging and accurate sound will put a smile on your face. A loud distorted sounding pile of speakers and amps will just **** people off, you included.

Kickers are junk!!!!JL is the best sub around,Polk audio DXI SUBS (I HAVE N MY CHEROKEE) were 200$ NEW lifetime warranty from best buy.Im runningan 800watt amp,And they hit harder than any 12's (besides jl,and HIGHQUALITY fosgate ****) My JLs are the hardest hitting subs ever,great sound quality on the polks and the JL's.
Little biased? Believe me, your "jl's" are nowhere near the hardest hitting subs.

Alpine makes good stuff plain and simple. They're a good bang for your buck company. That being said, my preference is JBL for speakers, and Pioneer for everything else. Pioneer I like for the asthetics.(good looking head units) All my speakers are JBL, my HU's and amps are almost always Pioneers.

What ever you do don't buy a kenwwod or pioneer amp. If you really want something that is very decent and the price won't kill you go with performance teknique. Very reliable amps and cheap!
