Default Previous owner contact?

Has the previous owner of your Jeep ever contacted you?

Yesterday the PO stopped by where I work and wanted to talk to me. He said he saw the truck, and remembered me telling him where I work, so he stopped to say hello and see the truck.

And basically asked to buy it back!

Not gonna happen. Ever.

Thats pretty funny!

I've only had mine for a few months now. I am kinda expecting the owner to give me a ring and say "hey, gave you a great deal on that thing and I want it back" and my offer back to him will be sure $10k

That's cool, but do you think it has anything to do with your stolen axle? I guess I just have a problem trusting people....

Ok, just coincidental, then. I've worked with a bunch of less than stellar people, and that's the first place my mind went reading your posts.

Nope, but I wanted to contact the PO of my XJ & I tried for a long time to find him. I actually bought it from a used car dealer but I did a little half-assed detective work & found the PO's name & other details. All except his full address & "status" (dead/alive). There has been a dark brown stain on the driver side carpet that I couldn't remove & I wanted to ask him what it was ... or find out if it was blood. I'm paranoid sometimes, wondered if the guy met his maker in the XJ ...

I never found him, but finally came to the conclusion that it wasn't blood. And even after removing the carpet & pressure washing it, the stain keeps coming back ...

Weird ...

The PO of my Jeep is deceased... so hopefully I won't be having any contact with her.

99.99999999% chance he has a key that fits your truck, unless you changed the locks.

Not with my Cherokee since it was bought out of town but with my CJ 7 and Mustang. We were having a garage sale and the previous owner of my CJ came by and asked about it. It looked nothing like when she sold it to me and couldn't believe it was the same one she had for so many years. I sold her the tailgate from it so she could have something to remember it by. (I had no use for the tailgate since I put on a fiberglass body without a cutout for it)

Also seen the previous owner of my Cobra quite some time ago in a parking lot and got some stories of the good times he had in it in the past.

Pretty cool to know both vehicles were loved and brought fond memories to each of the previous owners.

I bought mine from a guy at work. I don't work directly with him, but I usually send him pics when we've done something with it or taken it wheelin'. I thank him every time for taking such good care of it until I could whoop on it like a real Jeep, LOL.
