Why would you paint the engine area? Im just wondering because isnt that one of the dirtiest places on your jeep? Sure its pretty now, but after wheelin and muddin and stuff, it kinda seems pointless unless all you do is hang out at the mall.....

Agree, only thing I paint is the valve cover when its off...it stays black. It only gets cleaned before I work on it too.

I just rub everything down with some PB Blaster and a rag.

Makes everything look shiny, and keeps the hoses from cracking. Also prevents further rusting, and grime buildup.

well if you're digging around in it as deep as I am, you might as well do the engine bay black.
the reason is because black will compliment whatever color I decide to do the body down the road.

cant have a tan body and a blue engine bay right?

you're looking at what WILL be a pretty engine...
