It may just slightly affect rear tire wear. When taking turns uphill you are on the gas pedal so it wont always unlock. But it is almost an unnoticeable amount. And as far as MPG after 35,000 miles i just plain cant remember my old mpg haha

No and No.. I never had an issue with it.

My dumb *** put one in my D35 10 years ago and I liked it.

It did spit out a spring and it bound up the rear end like it was welded... it hadn't seen much abuse at the time... opened up the diff and still never found the spring Put a new spring in and never had an issue again.

I would save your money and get a lock-rite personally, unless you're really picky... the differences are next to none almost.

They can both be just as scary on ice, or nasty conditions in on-road driving.

First thanks for long running review. Second I hate you (just joking) because now I want to spend more money. I was planning on aussies. I never even looked at these, but with no clicking and on top of that reduced backlash and driveline windup compaired to a traditional locker IMO these seem like the best choice for my DD now.

I get it, as long as you let off the gas when you're turning, the locker uncouples.

Just looked at the Powertrax Lockright on Rusty's, $326 with the Chrysler 8.25, seems ridiculously cheap, (only $271 for Dana 35).

Reviews on Offroaders.com were all good, recommended by all 7 reviewers although 6 of the 7 reviewers name was anonymous, sounds a little suspicious , but will look for more reviews.

No ice in Houston.

That is the lock right. It is different. The OP has a Powertrax No-Slip.
The thread started in 2010

This site says Powertrax made the original Lock-rite, then changed the name to Lock Right.

Makes sense as there's already a company with the name Lock Rite.

I've had mine for a few years and it's been great. The only thing I will say is if you re -gear DO NOT GRIND THE PIN. The shop I had do my 4.56 gears ground the pin without asking. caused the locker to unlock/lock at random. I grinded a tooth and put a stock pin in temporary. Locker works as it should again and has no noticeable wear.
