I know its not stock but I have put mine through way worse and I mean the 3 I have owned and never had that issue. This summer I wheeled the hit out of mine with 36's in over 100 degree heat all day. I would strip it all down and clean it looking for sludge or broken parts.
the thing about the internet is what some people call "beating the **** out of thier jeep" others call a sunday stroll through the woods.

it will cost him about $20 when its all said and done, takes a half hour to install, and it sure made a difference on my rig.

i added mine to a wj steering pump and durango steering box and new hoses, all parts were less than a month old, so there was nothing sludgy or worn.
