Popular mods you hate
So I've put a AAL kit on my XJ that I bought for cheap because I'm trying to keep this thing a beater that I don't feel bad about beating on it because its cheap. I bought it for winter while I store my "properly lifted" YJ (because I live in Michigan and everything rusts in a few years if ran in salt) and to not care about while off-road. Your saying I shouldn't have added any extra clearance because I opted for AAL because they're cheaper? Are you implying that I'm better off stock? Or are you saying do it right the first time when I'm expecting to get couple winters maybe? I just really can't justify buying a lift and doubling the amount of money I have into it for only a few inches it's not like there's 8 inch AAL. but for a budget build why not AAL's?
I'm all about building a vehicle right and my YJ is built properly new leafs all the way and armored
People's opinions are different everywhere in the YJ world shackle lifts are horrible but 4" lift leaf springs are fine even though my 2.5" leafs and 1" shackles will out flex them.
But for a few inches of extra clearance off road why not pay $300
I don't like mall crawlers, wheels spacers, low profile mud tires, exhausts that sounds like tractors, and if you read this roll me over stickers. Or people that think that that wrangler owners are ignorant.

What doesn't suprise me about this thread is that everyone gets real offended when someone else suggests that they don't like a mod that's been done to their Jeeps. THe thread isn't titled "Things that people who should burn at the stake do to their Jeeps." Grow some skin.
And yes, lo-pro mud tires are stupid, and Dick Cepeck wheels are overused.

Yeah guys, I don't agree with some people's opinions in here but chill out, not everyone needs to agree on everything. You're not dating. Tolerance is one of the few things keeping civilization together.
Oh and big points to the trolls LMAO
I saw one posermobile around here that had low-pro street or ATs with pretend beadlocks on similar style rims. I almost **** myself laughing hahahaha
Okay my list off the top of my head
- The above mentioned rims
- Massive stingers. Why the hell does your jeep look like a long horn beetle?
- Stingers with lights hanging from them!!! On top of being hideous the owner doesn't even know what they're for!
- Poorly done body work, mostly embarrassing hack jobs for snorkels, trimmed fenders, cut-n-fold, etc
- Homebrew snorkles with exposed filter elements
- "CAI"s that are just crap cone filters, usually K&N, sucking up hot air
- Excessive bedliner and diamond plate
- Someone else mentioned stock bumpers with no end caps. Yep showing off the sheet metal, nice!
- Monster Energy Drink stickers
- Southern Confederate flags
- Insanely high lifts
- Those 3-spoke alloy rims
- Flat fender flares
- Chopped XJs. Almost all I've seen were done poorly. What is the point? Too lazy to open the rear hatch?

Okay yes I did get offended and over react, and yes some wrangler owners are arrogant those are the ones that think they need a rubicon because they have a 2nd cousin twice removed that lives on a dirt road in Oklahoma, and they visit them every couple years.
Most Wrangler owners are helpful. At Silver Lake sand dunes if a wrangler gets stuck theres always like 5 by them willing to give a helping hand.
I think people that do a super 35 kit with a
Locker should burn at the stake!

You must have some nice Wrangler owners where you live. 90% of them here are douchebags, tools, and asswipes who wouldn't even bat an eye at a wreck with flaming babies trapped inside.

Every group of vehicles has some douches in their fold. Heck, I've met XJ owners I'd like to drag behind my Jeep.
