Default Paint opinions

Keep in mind I used a free art making app to color in the spaces instead of actually painting it.

Not sure which paint scheme to go with. I like the bottom cause it's different like the inverted grille colors, but the top one isn't bad either but I see it on a lot of jeeps everywhere.

The engine bay is not as concerning as the cabin when it comes to added heat from dark paint. Color will not affect engine temps. There should be an insulation blanket on underside of hood as well.
Can always install hatch struts to lift the hood for you because it does get very hot after driving. In this picture the blanket and struts can bee seen.

I like the first option.

Black reduces glare off a shiny hood.

Are you planning on using paint or plastidip? Plastidip is great for trying out different designs and if you do a few coats, it will last a while before coming off. Also hey to a fellow Michigan jeeper

My red 98 has the hood blacked out like the top picture. A white one I see around town has the black accents like the bottom picture. I used vinyl for mine.

There's no easy decisions when it comes to paint lol. Do you remember how much the vinyls were and how easy it was to use

Awww you're no fun haha. But yeah I've thought about just leaving it red as well. I am on the fence about the colors so it kinda makes sense to just leave it red
