Here is how my buddy did his hood so his lightbar doesn't glare too bad.

I don't know about doing almost the entire hood... Cause if I have a lightbar it'll be a smaller one that I mount to the bumper probably.

Your buddy has a sweet looking jeep tho, I looks like he's having a good bit of fun in it too

Yeah we were at Bundy hill which is about an hour from what your profile says. Great beginner to moderate trails to test out the jeep.

I've rode with a few people out on Yankee springs recently and it seems like that would be a good start for a stock jeep too. Just some casual two tracking

I like option 2, because it's different.

Option 1 is probably more practical, though.

Just my deuce Lincolns.

I'm not crazy concerned about practicality cause I'm not planning on mounting a lightbar to my roof or anything and the sun glare isn't bad either.

I just like to be different I guess

Going to do mine like the first pic. Only my jeep is black so I'm gonna use a matte or satin black. Also want to do the header panel and from the hood it will continue onto the cowl. Then the center part I'm going to do orange, also onto the cowl in the center. Maybe you could do like the first pic only instead of black use a satin or matte red. Or maybe a different color other than black.

Yep.

The vinyl also requires no masking, no sanding, and limited prep. It's also removable.

If you decide to use rattle can flat black/plasti dip on the hood, it WILL tiger stripe. With matte paint, large flat panels more or less require a gun.

no ****... btw plastidip is removable too. and if you spray in the right conditions(not 90% humidity and in direct sun) you wont get striping. I use to do bodywork/paint for a living.
