Default In over my head in rust repairs

Well lets just start out with I bought a 96 jeep cherokee classic 148k miles last December. The drivers floor had a hole in it but no big deal. Well i decided to pull the carpet last Sunday to do rust repair and this is what I found... Driverside and passenger floor board gone, Left rear seat mount busted free and not doing anything to hold the seat in, Right rear shock poking through the hole in the floor(One day i heard something pop and just ignored it it's been a hell of a bumpy unstable ride), and hey i can see my entire gas tank chunks of the rear frame falling off almost every part of the rear frame, and by the left rear leaf spring shackle mount you can flex it by hand. the frame around the fuel neck is as good as dust the and storage area under the rear seat gone.... I paid $2200 on a cold winter night in the dark spur of the moment after I got ran off the road in my winter beater geo prizm and vowed to never drive anything without 4x4 again. I tied the right front bracket for the driver seat to that bracket that holds it since the bolt head broke off and put the other 2 bolts back on, slid a piece of thin sheet metal under the left rear of the seat and am driving around windows open so i don't die from the fumes coming out of the muffler that just recently blew out around the seam. Anyone know where i can get a solid body blown motor trans or tcase or something in the parma ohio region. I need my jeep and i only have at most $800 unless i wait and drive it as is for 4-5 months till i can afford a new jeep. My only other car is my 98 dodge ram and I'm not to sure how much longer I can limp its trans before it gives out on me... plus i'm hiding almost every cent i make from my paycheck in the gas tank of the thing it wont shift correctly and I'm getting 6mpg average

Why not get new floor pans? I just ordered a full set for my Comanche. Was about $170 shipped from rockauto.com. I'm having a shop weld mine in.

Woo, that's rough for 2200....

But it's not like it's irreparable... Get some old street signs... Clean all the rust and junk off the sub frames and weld/rivrt/screw in a new floor. Just make sure you use some type of sealant.. I.e. Sikaflex...

New pans and get a friend who welds. Take care of him with beer and praise the fine work that he'll do. lol

Just bought another cherokee for $1,700 with some borrowed cash from my mom (She owns a 74 cj lol) and its solid front to back. I'm thinking about swapping in the np231 out of my rusted junk one because the one in my new jeep is the part time full time tcase and I hear their not as strong as the 231. If anyone wants a project I'm going to be selling my old one for a little over scrap value.

^ You need to add your location to your profile. Also get some more posts and post it in the for sale section so people know its available.
