Default our new/old rig

Hey every one, I got a pretty good deal on this XJ country, this is a project for myself and my daughter, we put the the cart before the horse with the tires but couldnt pass them up, $80 for rims and 31's. so we will post the progress. her being 14 has a while before she drives on the road.
will a 2" or 3" lift work with the tire/wheel setup?

Looks good, and yes a 3" lift will work just fine with those tires. If you trim you could fit them with no rubbing on stock height.

AAL may sag a little you may have to get shackles or full leaf packs to get the full 3in of lift

You may not like the AAL. Should have splurged a lil bit for the full packs especially since she is 14 and will take a while to be able to drive it. Mainly because they will sag within a year or so I have heard. Better resale value when you decide 3 isnt enough and you want 5 1/2 with 33's lol.

3 in lift is great for 31's since it is for a teenager you will need to get the speedo calibrated for the new tires or she will never know how fast she is going.

Let us know how it goes either way. Have fun!

I just finished the 3" RC lift, it looks pretty good, sits straight but will it stay that way or is the old leaf spring going to sag?

No telling most will sag inside a year. But it will give you some time to save up for some full packs . You may decide you want to go bigger anyway.

Get vibes? If you got rear driveline vibrations, yes. 1" should do.

sorry it took so long, when I see the post that people say they did this lift in a couple hours, it sure makes me say wow, it took me a full day and a half to do the AAl, coils, shocks and rear breaks, and still have the axle lube and sawy bar disc. to go. here is the before and after. it needs more!!!!

but its a start, I never drove this till I got the lift and tires on so I dont know for sure if it has a vib or not. how do i tell, any vets wanna test drive it?
