opinion on used ARB locker
Bought a dana 44 full width for a front axle.
eventually plan on dropping an arb locker in before installing on my car
a used one has been floating on craigslist for awhile now at 520
i think i can probly talk him down to at least 450,
do you guys think a used arb is a bad idea for any reason?
it looks in good shape, and he seems to have purchased a new install kit to go with it. ( not possitive )
any opinion is appreciated

Is it just the locker or does it come with the seal housing, solenoid, etc.? The parts and pieces can add up. That's about what I paid for my used D30 ARB and it was the new design (RD100). I've never done it, but you can bench test them too. GL!

Don't buy it unless the seller allows you to open it up and inspect the clutch gear (#4).
Engaging the ARB at higher speed than recommended by the manufacturer causes dramatic wear on the part. I've replaced quite a few for guys that failed to read the owners manual.
