Im 18 and when a sophmore at my highschool who barely has his liscense has a commanche 4.0 4x4 plus a j10 with a 410 in it on 41's. I think i can hate him cant i? IM JEALOUS!
Please tell me you are seriously into your Auto Shop and Metal Shop classes, and are working two part-time jobs and saving your money for a beater Cherokee. No? No right to be jealous.
Your pal's parents are generous, but when he tears something up, he won't have a clue as to what to do, probably.
One must earn this bumper sticker:
BUILT NOT BOUGHT.

I didnt actually mean hate. I talk jeep with him all day everyday. I got my cherokee broken from my parents. It was a handout , but required a new head gasket. It gave me a whole new world of cars and wanting to learn and work on them. I'm thankful i got it that way!

If you're building up new rigs one after the other, ok "built not bought" is cool.
But transfer that to some guy with a **** car with 3 different tires on it who is constantly at the junk yard or auto store fixing something. Heck there's hundreds of migrant workers doing that here in california. Actually, thousands. If you think that's cooler than having a good job and just buying a new car that doesn't need to be fixed every other month hey, go for it. I used to have an old hand me down Volvo and it was in fact about every other month that something used to break on it. I didn't feel special.
How pimped out is an off roader off the lot anyway, unless it's a Raptor or Humvee? (or even a TJ?) Is someone selling a model of brand new rigs where every one that rolls out of the factory has a cage, metal bumpers, a winch, tons of lighting, monster offroad tires and a six inch lifts?
That's all fun and games when you're young but after a while there's no time to be screwing with fixing cars all the time.

I kinda feel your pain i drove a bucket of a 65 impala in high school and my best friend had a few years old mustang. But i bought the impala for 400 bucks that sat in a barn for years. My step dad helped me restore it and i learned a lot off that.My friend use to talk trash about my car tell he grew a pair and raced me.He learned that a 427 will walk on a stock 91 5.0 mustang lol.
